Kid Quilts

Since 2006, Columbus Metropolitan Quilters have made and distributed baby quilts to the Columbus Board of Health (CBH) Public Health Program.  CBH provides these “blankets of love” to a visiting nurse program for new mothers. Feedback from these organizations has been genuinely positive.

Each January, we have a display of Kid Quilts at Sew to Speak quilt shop.

Kid Quilts should have a top, batting and back that is either machine or hand quilted or tied. These quilts should be constructed to be frequently machine washed and dried. All size quilts are accepted.  Labels say “Stitched with Love, (quilter’s first name), Columbus Metropolitan Quilters, (year made)”

Use your stash or ours and be creative! Bring your completed quilts to any meeting for Show and Tell.

Our coordinator for this program is Rita Herzberger. For questions, please contact her through CMQ’s email address cmquilters@nullyahoo.com.
